Tribute to R E S (Ward) Fischer MNZM, JP

It is with great sadness that the trustees of the BB Waikato Charitable Trust farewelled our friend and trust chairman, Ward Fischer, who passed away on the 18th November 2018 after a brave 3-month battle with cancer. We acknowledge the tremendous service Ward gave to the boys and leaders of the Boys' Brigade for over 50 years. We also acknowledge the dedication Ward has shown in initiating and providing excellent leadership of this trust, which supports the work of Boys' Brigade and ICONZ in the Waikato region.

Ward lived out his Christian faith with integrity and a depth of character that inspired all who he met - a wonderful example of true Christian manliness. He has left a legacy that will advance Christ's Kingdom for many years to come.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to family and friends who are grieving at this sad time.
